Preventive Screenings
What is the objective of preventive health screenings?
Preventive health screenings are the key to identify hidden disease risk. It helps people to learn and understand their risk factors for conditions such as stroke, heart disease, aneurysm, cancer and more. This then gives them the knowledge so that they can consult with their doctor and take the right steps towards a healthier future.
What do I expect?
What do I wear the day of my screening?
You should wear loose fitting clothing. Women should avoid wearing pantyhose as well as earrings or necklaces that may need to be removed for the screenings.
How long will the screening take?
The entire process will take between 30 to 45 minutes.
What are the qualifications of your technologists performing the screenings?
Our technologists are registered to perform vascular and cardiac procedures by either the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International organizations which demonstrate their proficiency in this field. They work under the supervision of a Medical Director who is a licensed and certified physician.
Who reads my preventative screening results?
All preventative screening results are read by our highly experienced and board certified medical physicians.
How will I receive my preventative screening results?
You will receive your preventative screening results through the mail within 21 days. However, if we should find something that requires immediate attention, your physician will be notified on the day of your screening. If you have the lab screening, those results will available within 15 minutes on the day of your screening.
Does Medicare or insurance cover preventative health screenings?
Insurance coverage varies from policy to policy. You will be provided a detailed receipt that can be submitted to your insurance company to determine coverage. You should also include your results with the receipt.

What do I expect?
- When you arrive at the testing location, you will be greeted by our friendly personnel who will provide the necessary forms for you to complete prior to the screening process.
- Once your paperwork is processed, you will be directed to a private area where all screening services will be performed.
- Upon completion, you may receive information about your test immediately, depending on which screening package is performed. You will receive details about the tests performed and when to expect the results of your preventive screenings

Diagnostic Ultrasound
How do I prepare for my exam?
For any ultrasound exam of the abdomen (abdomen complete, gallbladder), the patient needs to be NPO after midnight or for 6 hours before appointment time.
For an ultrasound of the pelvis, the patient must finish drinking 32oz of water one hour prior to appointment time and arrive with a full bladder for the appointment.
How long will the exam take?
The entire process will take between 30 to 45 minutes.

The ordering physician will receive your ultrasound exam results by fax within 24 hours.
